OK, ok. The story line is rehashed shit left over from the Bible. The directing is horrible (sorry Lucas but it is true). The acting was probably the worst of any major release of the past thirty years. The action was good, except for that painful death star scene at the end. The effects were one of a kind for the time period, but still very cheesy at times. Lucas stole from plenty of literature (Wizard of Oz, anyone?). And the whole Force thing is nothing more than California neo-philosophy full of flaws. Should I go on?

Well, I won't. The reason: I can't argue subjectivity with anyone. You will just continue to say it is the best movie just cause. Even though I have pointed out reasons why it isn't.

Is it entertaining, sure. Is Pink Floyd my favorite group? Sure. Do I get immense enjoyment out of listening to them? Sure. Does that automatically make them the "Greatest?" No.

john, so if something is influenced it can't be deemed to be good? why was the acting bad?, guinness portrays a wise man perfectly, ford well theres never been a performance that emulates a lovable rougue so effortlessly, hamills imature to grown up is exellent.Bad directing! that's a monster call I can't think of many directors who could have handled a production that big back then, especially on those budgets. Pink floyd stole from OZ, so what, as long as the influences benefit the production why not. Plus I can't remember stating that star wars is the best movie anyway ignoramus - thats of course 'Once upon a time in the West' (private me if you want an explanation why) Stop fighting what I say and enjoy my comments, they are objective well reasoned views.

I'm not fighting what you say. I'm fighting the fact that you think we should all agree with what you say. The acting is bad, Ford himself said he was ashamed of it. And where exactly did Pink Floyd steal from Wizard of Oz?

Ignoramus? Cute.

By the way, don't expect a PM from me, because frankly talking to you only makes me dumber.

idiot you said yourself floyd stole from OZ - dont forget floyd used visuals from OZ to make their soundtrack dsom if you understand what I mean by soundtrack 84, the bad acting was ok because the film has a large element of satire as for ford's comment I think the bitter use of irony was at hand, have intelligence qoutients dropped since my last posts?

Actually I believe there's a quote somewhere in which Roger Waters claims that he's never seen The Wizard of Oz. As for Star Wars acting, it's bad. Move past it.

I've finally come around to the fact that you are a little more than presumptuous AND DO NOT RESEARCH YOUR RESPONSES thoroughly enough, I suppose thats why you have managed several million posts, ha ha ha hah hah ha phrrrttt ups just followed through. Floyd are the greatest, sea water tastes vile(to humans), coca cola is lovely, sex is pleasent, a trip to the dentists is daunting but after you feel relieved, falling face first in to a fire is painful, a red hot poker up the jacksy is painful, fingers screeching down a chalkboard is irritating, a broken foot to a footballer is no good (unless he's collymore with a long contract)
life is short compared with the time you spend dead - it's all very elementary!!!!!!! I only state facts. Opinions can be fact and can also be false. - another fact.

Since reasoning with you logically has failed to provide results, I will now ignore you.
