Animals is the best

UNLESS YOU CAN SERIOUSLY RELATE TO 'ANIMALS' LOGIC SUGGESTS NO ONE SHOULD AGREE UNLESS ONE HAS ONLY HEARD ANIMALS AND NO OTHER FLOYD ALBUM (dont quote me). GENERAL CONSENSUS POINTS TO 'DARK SIDE OF THE MOON' BEING THE BEST, SUCCESS SUGGESTS 'THE WALL' PEOPLE WHO CLAIM OTHER FLOYD ALBUMS TO BE THE BEST ARE THOSE THAT FEEL THEY CAN RELATE TO THAT ALBUM MORE THAN ANY OTHER I.E IF YOU MISS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING IT COULD BE 'WISH YOU WHERE HERE', IF YOUR ANGRY AT THE WORLD IT COULD BE 'THE WALL' AND SO ON. IF ALL PEOPLE WERE LOCKED IN A ROOM FROM BIRTH AND NOT PREDUDICED OR INFLUENCED 'DARK SIDE OF THE MOON' WOULD PROBABLY BE CONSIDERED THE BEST AS IT'S THE MOST MELODIOUS FLOYD ALBUM.

I also agree. As an entire album, Animals is the best work Pink Floyd ever did

Well Animals has three epic size songs with a variety of themes, melodies and patterns. It seems to be mature work as well but the DSotM still stays the best and most well known Pink Floyd album ever - not because all the songs are like awsome (that they are...) but the whole thing added up gives a great mixture with very well worked songs. I agree to the opinion that in order to rate a floyd album you must hear them nearly all, so take the time to hear slowly all the albums from See Emily Play as a song and Piper at the Gates of Dawn - album till the Wall and the newer ones too, but with the new ones Roger is absent so you must see them from a different point of view.

Animals is PF rocking out loud , almost a punk record , like Jazz By Queen , done with no compromise , excellent , aggressive ideas .

Animals is a great album, but I wouldn't call it the best.

Where's Handbanana?

Animals is up there in Pink Floyd's top albums, but not the best. The album only has 5 (4)? songs while other albums by them have more so Animals has less to do bad in. You almost have to take it in parts.

Animals has some of the best lyrics i've ever heard

Im a George Orwell fan and it is for that reason that i like animals the best. Plus the riff in "sheep" is awesome. The album really lets loose on Roger waters politics (for those of you who dont know he is a socialist, or claims to be). It is awesome.

Animals is a great album, but I have a hard time picking favourites. It usually depends on what I want to hear. Sometimes I'm in a "Wall", sometimes an "Animals" mood, maybe I'll be up for some "Piper" every now and then.....
Oddly enough, lately I have been in an Animals mood and actually listened to the record a couple of times last night. It's a good one alright
