Floyd in Rolling Stone's Top 500 albums of all time

Now I know what you're all thinking, another useless biased list, and i agree, but i thought it would be interesting to post to see what antics ensue

Piper at the Gates of Dawn: 347 (do you believe it; that's awesome)

WYWH: 209 (eh)

The Wall: 87 (hmm)

DSOTM: 43

what do you all think?
btw #1 is Sgt. Pepper.

Really good ratings for PATGOD and WYWH, The Wall could have been higher but 87's not bad (The Wall's not for everyone, that's for sure). As for DSOTM at 43, that is absolutely atrocious. Its the best concept album ever, better than Sgt. Pepper's by far. should have easily cracked the top 10, but then again the Floyd never get the credit they deserve when it comes to "best of" lists.

btw, my #1 would have been Zeppelin IV, many people say its overrated, but to me its simply the best ever

Too bad The Wall got a higher rating than WYWH. Then again, that's just me.

i think the lot of them shouldve been higher up. do you perhaps have a link to that list? (i like to count how many of the albums i have, so that i can feel superior to my peers. btw, im 15, and nearly everyone my age listens to crap)

Houses of The Holy is better than IV albatross,

I also think DSOTM should be higher. I haven't read the list though

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
I know I should've put a link there at first, i apologize: here it is if you haven't already seen it. NB: it starts at #1 with 100 albums per page.

Enjoy!

Seems like the list is for the most popular and well-known albums, and not for the best albums. The fact that Sgt. Pepper is #1 says it right there. The only reason it's 1 is because the most well-known band in the world created it, and has been the inspiration for countless bands. And I still don't get why they like Trout Mask Replica so much. I like Safe As Milk and Beefheart's later stuff, but that album stretches beyond the limits of my musical tastes. It's OK, but not deserving of a #58.

Wow, that's awesome that Piper made it. But I am a little surprised that DSoTM was so low, to me it deserves higher than 43. Mybe if every other song in the top 10 wasn't The Beatles or Bob Dylan (even though I love both of them. But Revolver over DSOTM?)
