What's your all time favourite comedy moment?

What’s your all time favourite comedy moment? This is mine.
I can’t contain myself during every viewing.

(A kid named Joey is shown the plane’s cockpit)

ROGER MURDOCK: Flight Two Zero Niner reporting to Denver. Climbing to cruise at forty-two thousand feet. Will report again over Lincoln. Over and out.

JOEY: Wait a minute, I know you! You’re Kareem Abdul Jabbar. You play basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers.

ROGER MURDOCK: I’m sorry son, but you must have confused me with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I’m the co-pilot.

JOEY: You are Kareem! I’ve seen you play. My dad’s got season tickets.

ROGER MURDOCK: I think you should go back to your seat now Joey. Right Clarence?

CLARENCE (pilot): Nah! He’s not bothering anyone. Let him stay here.

ROGER MURDOCK: Alright, but just remember my name is Roger Murdock, I’m an airline pilot.

JOEY: I think you’re the greatest, but my dad says you don’t work hard enough on defence, and he says that lots of times you don’t even run downcourt and you don’t really try, except during the playoffs.

ROGER MURDOCK: The hell I don’t! … (Grabs Joey and pulls Joey towards him out of earshot of Clarence’s earshot.) Listen kid, I’ve been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I’m out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes. (Lets go of Joey, who’s now shell-shocked.)

CLARENCE: Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?

Re: What's your all time favourite comedy moment?

This thread could be about any general comedy moments......maybe from stand up comedians, TV shows, movies, books......not just from movies, assuming that that's what matthew meant.

Personally, anything from Monty Python or Mitch Hedburg cracks me up.

1)Butthead: It's not his penis, Beavis. It's not his beavis, Penis

2)Beavis (towards a chick in the airplane): Uh... can I use your butt as a floating device?

3)Butthead (towards 2 chicks): Look, I'm so cool I got beard on my hands!

I'd have to go with "Not the 9 O'Clock News".

"This is still, ostensibly, a Python-fearing country."

I know there's a lot of literal minded people using these forums but Yes I do mean in general i.e. it could be something you've actually witnessed in real life

This is one I saw.....my mate Gary has this poodle called killer and he thinks the world of it, every saturday he takes it to the park, sometimes down the woods and Gaz thinks it's great when he throws a stick and Killer retrieves it . The dog always fetches what Gaz throws, it's extremely obediant.
Anyway one day Gary the poodle (he takes Killer everywhere)and I were working in this house repairing the electrics when Gaz let out this enormous fart, it absolutely stank, a complete tepid intrusion of the nose. For hours Gary was farting, he thought the fact they were making me gip was hilarious, then suddenly it happened, First Gary shouted 'check this Gilly, youll be able to taste this one!' the problem was he forced it, I heard this tremendous phlllluuulrrrrttttt, it was no use, Gary admited he had followed through. He went to the loo to take his undies off and toghether we went down to the van outside, I had to get some tools, Gaz wanted to chuck his sodden undies in the back and he did just that and to our utter suprize killer dived into the back of the van and preceded to ravage the poor garment like he'd caught a rat. Gaz shouted 'get out Killer!' and Killer did just that, after all the dog is obediant.
Then it was only time that day that Gaz and I laughed at the same moment Killer appeared at the door of the van looking like a two year old who'd just eaten a chocolate bar.

Most of "Search for The Holy Grail" is a classic.

yes i know sshh. I'll get around to it..

One of my fave Bolderick/Blackadder moments

Bolderick: Not to worry sir...
Blackadder: forgive me for jumping the gun Bolderick but am I right in saying that the words "I have a cunning plan" are marching with ill deserved confidnece in the direction of this conversation?

Well if we're going to talk about stand up comdians I love Jimoein.. he has this great skit where he's talking about moths flying towards any source of light and how there might be some moths out there who just start flying towards the moon and just never stop.. You have to actually see it though cos he does the flying motion and the stuff that he says is very funny..

cheers

Re: What's your all time favourite comedy moment?

When Blackadder tries to rewrite the dictionary that was accidentall destroyed:

Blackadder: I need a word that starts with a "b".

Bolderick: Honey

Blackadder: Honey doesn't start with a b, its starts with an "h"

Bolderick: No it doesn't, it starts when a bee collects pollen...
