Old Pinkfloyd songs

I couldnt think of anything else to title it, but I had a conversation with someone and he told me i should listen to pink floyds old stuff, the stuff they made before Darkside of the moon, and The Wall, he said that some of their songs were like 20 minutes long, he gave me a name but i frogot it, anywase, if anyone could tell me the name of an old pink floyd song, a song they wrote before they were all famous like they are now, thanx.

Probably "Echoes" from the Meddle album.

Nice to meet you, Chaospilot. BTW, that link is on the index page of the site - and people here will be much nicer if you look around before creating new threads. Just about every imaginable topic about Pink Floyd has been covered in the years the site's been here, and all it takes is a click of the search button to find most of the answers you're looking for. I suspect you'll get a couple of less than joyful responses to your question - don't take it to heart.

I'd go for Piper at the gates of dawn or saucerful of secrets before ummagumma. You have to be a rather seasoned Pink Floyd fan to enjoy that one!

Even if you are a seasoned PF fan it's still debateable whether you'll like Ummagumma!

One of These Days I'm Going To Cut You Into Little Pieces ...
Meddle is definitely a must have just for Echoes and One of These Days...
And Piper is Great!
Ummugumma Live Disc is strong as well
