There's another one--it's very faint, but it occurs during "Free Four". You can hear Mr. Waters speaking, and it sounds to me like he's saying, "It's sad, isn't it?" That would fit the context of the song...but because of the killer guitar solo, I can't be sure.

I'm not entirely sure if it IS meant to be a hidden message as such, but it sounds quite similar to your interpretation. It might just be a little audio "typo" or the bass pedal.

I'm not an audio specialist (I play keyboards on an amateur level using--of all things--guitar chords, and that's about all my experience), so I've got to ask a stupid question. What do you mean--the bass pedal of what?

But since what I hear seems like a commentary on the lyrics (that is, if Mr. Waters DOES say, "It's sad, isn't it?"), I do wonder if it was intentional. It seems like an RW-type thing to do!

Speaking of Hidden and backwards masked messages here's something really thought provoking :

Some dudes in my college were distributing pamphlets on the "Evils of Rock Music". According to them they are out to save devout chrisstians from the evils of rock. They claim that bacwards mesasges in Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Dire Straits, Elvis Presley(!) etc. are all incantation to Satan and that by listening to these songs played forward, our sub-concious gets ingrained with the message calling for service to Satan. I might be able to scan that booklet and put it up. Whadaya say ?!!

I thought all this PMRC shit had died out with the Judas Priest trial. What a load of weak-minded rubbish.

Actually I was talking to a friend about a satanist message supposed to be on Stairway to Heaven. But when he listened to it, there was nothing at all.

So all that stuff is kinda bullshitty.

Yo all you PF fans. Ive tried to hear the secret message on 'Several Species' But with no success. Can some one tell me the time when I need to slow it down ? couse I've searced and i couldnt find it...

1) A bass pedal is on a drum set. You can hear it very well on Two Suns in the Sunset.

2) For the second time, Where the heck can I find Dave saying "Bring back my guitar"! Also the "solo effort" thing in Gumma.

3) The stairway thing is true. The verse at the end of the song, "And shes buying a ....." But when it's played backwards, "Play backwards, here words sung".

Also, after the initial intro (when you start hearing chords), he starts saying that "Satan will bring us to a tool shed and make us suffer." (backwards of course)

Yes, but it doesn't sound like something SATANIST. The thing that my friend heard from another guy was that the message is "The devil is our master" or something like that. Which I do not think it's true!
