I don't know the whole Publius deal, I doubt anybody does. But basically it is this: Somebody, who is close to the band, has given out "clues" as to what certain things in the Division Bell album might mean. This person maybe someone who works in the organization, supposedly anyone from Dave himself to the janitor who cleaned the mixing room floor. Regardless of who it is, they have been leading some of the more guilible fans around by the nose by dropping clues here and there on the internet (it is my belief that Publius is nothing more than a marketing ploy by the band itself). To be honest to research all the clues left by Publius, and pretenders, is much more a waste of time than I allow myself. There are sevaral sites out there that are totally dedicated to Publius. With the possibility of yet another album, there is also the possibility of more Publius mentions.

My personal opinion is that Division Bell wasn't that great of an album, no amount of internet driven hype is going to change that and Publius just makes Floyd fans seem of the conspiracy-theorists brand of crazy, when we all know we are another kind of crazy all together.

With that said I suggest we leave Publius to the Grade school boys who have nothing to wile away the hours. And hopefully, this will be the last time Publius is mentioned on this site.

I've researched it, Wrightkeys, and trust me, it's downright boring. And it reeks of Dave.

Funny...I didn't even know what the hell this was all about.
Well, i guess i don't want to have known (confusing? yes).

Anyway- what about those heads on every other page of the Division Bell Cover slip?
With words like "Elf, and fle" and weird latin things?

Any one know about these? If it's as bad as you say this "P-stuff" is, then ward me off

I highly doubt Publius was Dave, that doesn't really seem like him. Probably just one of their marketing people, out to help the band, as he should be.

Like Charade, I am totally ignorant of this Publius dealy and slo like him, I am happy in not wasting anytime on it.

NNJohn's review was helpful in guiding me away from further time-wasting enquiries.

"Will the following footsteps catch me, am I really dying?"

Floyd on!

If for any strange reason somebody wants to read the messages, they are all in the Pink Floyd Encyclopedia. They're probably on the internet as well, if you look.

Actually the words 'elf' etc are the page numbers in different languages.

Let me just say, in light of Dave's not-so recent admission that the PE thing was a hoax, I called it.

See above if ya don't believe me.
