| no, Pink and Floyd are the names of 2 jazz musicians that influenced the orignal four members. their last names were to long and didnt seem right so their first names were used |

| I don't know about all four original members but I always thought that "Pink Floyd" came from two Georgia bluesmen (Pink Anderson and Floyd Council). It was basically Syd Barret's (Roger Keith Barret) idea I believe |
