fixxy: The Big Bang? There was no big bang, it was just a Big Hand Job. (apologies in advance)

Re: New Waters Tour

Simon,

Thanks a complete pantload. By the time you get your tickets, the deal will be sold out.

I'll just have to talk to someone better connected than myself to see what will be on offer for those willing to pay (through the nose, no doubt) for it.

Big Bang? Hand job? Imagine a conical bathtub made of black marble filled with sand...

Re: New Waters Tour

Hey, what do you mean "if nothing else"? Your appreciation is appreciated.

BTW, that term (a clean version] was used by an indignant murder suspect in an Inspector Morse episode.

Well, I see the dates are on this site now but still no news of when the tickets will go on sale. Anyone have more info on what the deal is which Piper referred to on the news section ?

Byron - did you manage to get tickets for the UK shows, which went on sale today. I hope you got what you wanted.

Re: New Waters Tour

Simon,

I certainly hope I got the tickets (for the Gilmour, Royal Festival Hall gig). Having duly placed my order online, I can but hope my desires are fulfilled.

Oh, and that the concert tickets arrive as well.

Am still unable to get anywhere as regards Roger's June dates.

"You'd better run...!"

Floydechoes,
Byron

Re: New Waters Tour

I'm from Australia, and I can't wait to see Waters live. One thing I'm not sure about is how big are the performances usually? with regards to lights/lasers/pyrotechnics, and all the other sweet stuff that was on the PULSE tour... I mean, I'll be going for the music of course, but it sure would be nice to see some special effects, or some liquid lights or something...

Well, cyas

Re: New Waters Tour

karl,

I should imagine Roger will have lots of flashes and bangs and trippy light shows to accompany his music.

David, on the other hand, playing a "semi-acoustic" set at the "up-its-own-butt" Royal Festival Hall is likely to be a more sedate affair.

BTW Simon, I have finally ordered my Waters concert tickets after much searching on the web and phoning round the ticket agencies.

Going through the Wembley ticket office online would have been a disaster because they only had seats available miles away from the stage and to get "Premier" grade tickets would have cost me £75 (approx. US$105) each. No thanks.

In the end - I have long since cracked up and flown down south - I got seats in the stalls area - away from the bleachers - for the regular price. Yippee!!!

Floyd live!
Byron

Re: New Waters Tour

Byron, good ! I managed to get some good seats at Wembley and NEC. I'd like to get to see David Gilmour's show as well.

Karl - Roger came up with the idea of grand shows. His Pros & Cons & KAOS tours were spectacular but In THe Flesh tours in 99 and 2000 concentrated on the music. There was an astounding sound system and the classiest light show I've seen at any concert. Some still photos projected through the show but as I said, main emphasis is on the music.

Cheers

Simon
