80's music....

Ok, well just about everything by Van Halen, plenty of Iron Maiden stuff, Metallica did their best work in the 80's, Mike Oldfield did some pretty cool stuff in the 80's, plenty of Queen stuff, Billy Idol, some Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love is pretty cool, wow, I could go on for ages...

Oh, and Kate Bush of course.

Anything by these artists:

-PF (au naturelle)
-Iron Maiden
-Gary Moore
-David Bowie
-Testament - 80's hair metal and thrash in general are my faves
-Megadeth - same as above
-ZZ Top (Rough Boy only from what I've heard)
-A-ha - take on me (gawd I don't know why I like this, extremely cheesy 80's synth pop).
-WASP
-Plus loads other...

'Cars' by Gary Numan. I really dig that song.

And Metallica's Master of Puppets.

Maybe its because of his 1990 conversion to playing blues (he thought he had the blues at some point...). His 80's material is splendid, but from Still Got The Blues up to the present day... One Day, SGTB and Separate Ways are still classy stuff though. Nothing in the world can beat the cheesiest intro lead from the 80's -----> out in the fields!

Personally I'm a big fan of his blues work (particularly Parisienne Walkways), but sometimes I forget his rocker days with Thin Lizzy and so on.

Speaking of 80's rockers and Thin Lizzy, does anyone remember Phil Lynott's "Solo in Soho"? I think it came out around 1980... Ode to a Black man still runs through my head from time to time..
