Buttons at the top...

Sorry if this is another DDT, I swear I looked.. but, like at the top of my screen, all my buttons ( user control panel, search button..etc ) have big X's where the tab is supposed to be.
Does anyone else have this problem or should I just go get a new computer? Because I can't handle not being able to get on this site everyday

Thanks in advance
Brock

You may just need a faster connection.. I notice that happening to me when I have other stuff running in the background taking up processor space..

The buttons still click, the images that represent the buttons however are not showing up, due to, as Fulghum said, speed or memory problems.

I did post this somewhere else on "Helpdesk" but anyways:

My problem is similar though different. Except for "Members", "Search" and "Logout", all other buttons on the top have "X"s and the button description. The buttons still work though.

I have a cable connection and it is reasonably fast and this is my only application running at the moment (and the only browser window running too). Even when I right-click ont he buttons and hit 'show image', it still turns up as a red X.

I use XP and IE 6 +. I also tried clearing my cache numerous times and deleted those cookies. Also restarted machine and also ran AdAware many times. Just doesn't seem to help.

Might be a problem here on the site, too many users, or slow connection from the host kinda thing going on then. Regardless, the buttons work, so you should be fine.

Oh yeah, that is there. But it has been happening since like... whoa, really long time now. Guess that's why I quit bothering about them!

Damn! A simple "refresh" was all it took!

Yeeesh! When I go to a new page, I have to do it all over again!

The "Go to first unread post" button doesn't load for me in threads at home or in college, which can't be as a result of a slow connection, as the college connection is somewhere in the region of 1Mb/s.

But yet it loads on the search page, and on forum pages, odd....

Ctrl-F5 forces a reload of all the files that make up the web page. The refresh button, or F5, only reloads those with a different time-stamp.

Same with mine. I've never worried much about it.
