publius enigma

hey all -- i'm new to the forum here but have been a floyd fan for many years. i had heard about the enigma a long time ago and recently decided to find out if anything had ever come of it.

so? anyone know what's come of it?

i read somewhere on here that dave came out and admitted it as a hoax. wouldn't surprise me. but i'd like to read where he said that, or find some documentation on it.

any help anyone can give me would help. thanks a lot!

Re: publius enigma

well sir, i've read the posts... and i've gotta be honest... none of them really address the enigma. a couple of them i had read before posting initially...

i mean, wow... the group here really, really, really HATES the enigma. and that's cool. i'm ambivalent myself, but curious.

i read a couple of times about dave came out and admitted it was a hoax. any idea who he told this too? i'll run a search for any articles about it... but if you, stratman, or anyone else know about a news article online, that'd be cool.

much appreciated!...

*and please don't shoot me with flaming arrows for being curious!*

It was on an online chat, the link is, in fact, somewhere in this site. Search and you shall find.

Re: publius enigma

What exactly is this enigma. Publius mentioned throughout the 1994 tour. In the US it was desplayed in lights along the stage front. In th UK (the same condert as the PULSE video) it was displayed on the Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 intro - projected on the back of the stage. Its is also in the LEARNING TO FLY MINI-DISC that was released in 1994.

Re: publius enigma

actually, it deosn't. I asked what the enigma is and said bollocks. How does that answer my question. Bollocks is just his opinion.

Re: publius enigma

It may be my opinion but it also describes the whole of the "Enigma" charade.
