I rather like Washburns... So does Sammy Hagar... Roger Waters... Gregg Allman...

And let's not forget Dolly Parton

I love Gibsons, I own one. But come on, don't talk about Washburns in a Fender forum.

Re: Fender geeks and guitarpeople

I signed up to win the guitar. I want one really bad. I just bought a guitar, but it's not a fender. It's like a squire or something... oh well. I shouldn't spend a lot on my first guitar, right? (by the way, Gibsons are VERY cool)

Re: Fender geeks and guitarpeople

Squire IS a Fender, but it's not how good the guitar is, it's how much determination you have as a pupil of music.

Ablaze: I really don't think you understood my post. I was never insulting Tele or Strats. I was saying I do not like the look of them nor the feel. It's all opinionated, so please don't tell me to shut my mouth - I tend to get very cranky.

Rabid Monkey: This is not a Fender forum. Read the title of this thread again.

Re: Fender geeks and guitarpeople

My first electric was a beat up, used Fender Mustang - I kept it for about ten years. Very playable, and I liked it a lot. I later went on to a Les Paul, a Flying V (why the hell I bought that, I don't know), among others... There's a Gretsch I remember pretty well... Of all the electrics I've had, I remember the Mustang best.

These days I play a Takemine and a Baby Taylor.

Fender Mustangs are awesome - I wish they were cheaper. I want one so bad.

Pipey - this is my seventh - 4 electrics, three acoustics.

Re: Fender geeks and guitarpeople

And where do you get the money for all of this?

I have only two; one Yamaha (acoustic) and one Epiphone (electric) and that cost me a fortune.
