Hey All You Bass Players!
first of all i'm not a bass player myself but it's the instrument i like the most when it's well played. i like tony levin, chris squire, marcus miller and my favorite one is level 42's mark king. what i want from you is to tell me who is your favorite bass player and i would like any suggestions for futur purchase.

i don't know him, is he in a band or is he going under his name? and what kind of music does he play? (jazz,rock...)

Wooten is with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. He also has some solo stuff. Jazzy rock mixed with bluegrasss-type stuff.

i'm going to have to second the victor wooten vote. find a copy of his song "classical thump". his speed, talent, and technique are unbelievable.

Sting kicks ass! I bought the cd Bring On The Night, god damn. Hell of a record. I loved it anyway

Like I was told when I started to learn the bass,for every one bass player there are 1000 lead guitarists.
