Well, I was just wondering like, for you guys, what Floyd cd is best to get high to or trip to for you? fo me it would probably have to be meddle... one of these days and echoes get me, oh and like, also from Ummagumma, grandchester meadows for my acid trips, its just too a relaxing, mellow song to go on a bad trip, what do you guys say?

I don't get high anymore, but for me it used to be The Wall.

BTW, Percy I never had any luck with Alice and The Wall, never found it to be enjoyable, what am I doing wrong?

First off, you gotta skip "Comfortably Numb" interestingly enough, on one pressing of The Wall or another, all of the track times are given normally except CN which is listed as -(6.23). Odd.

But that's about it...keep in mind it's more of a "mood" piece than the Dark Side of the Rainbow thing...though the clocks chiming at just the right moment and "The Trial" are certainly a trip...

Erm...not that I would condone such shenanigans myself, but were I to indulge in such capers it would have to start at the beginning and work through the entire catalogue until collapse.

Didn't I say Floyd hard!?

Actually, an Air Force buddy and I tripped to DSOTM all night (8 times!) while watching my pet bull snake attempt to eat a rat a touch too big for him. Dinner suddenly became the diner.

Strange and startling stuff.

"Lime and limpid green, a second scene
A fight between the blue you once knew."

Floyd on!

I'm guessing that the whole snake thing was a result of your tripping out.

Of course you all know about the Wall drinking game, take a shot every time you see a hammer.

But seriously, everyone told me when I was younger that I didn't "get" The Wall unless I tripped to it. So I did, I took a gel cap and watched the damn thing and much to my delight I loved the acid and what it did to me, though I don't recommend it to others. But alas, no cosmic meaning to The Wall was suddenly revealed. I understood it just fine without the acid. Though it was a hell of a lot of fun.

I agree that any Floyd is great whether under the influence or not, especially with headphones or surround sound.
But when i am stoned, I personally like the wall(movie) and Piper, especially interstellar overdirve. I also figure that Pompeii would rock when high...Hmm, it is summer vacation, and i have lots of free time....

Today I sat infront of my TV, PULSE video playing on the VCR, smoking my water pipe (AKA "Nargila") and drinking Tuborg beer... what a good head
All those lights mixed with alchohol and smoke from the water pipe... man I was trippin 8]
And the part with Dave's solo on CN at the end, the ring hovering above him and that huge disco ball unfolding, the dancing lights on stage... I was in heaven

Just thought I'd make a contribution from someone who hasn't dabbled in,er, mental enhancements(yet).

If I was going to, the album would have to be Echoes(I've heard it, pictured what I see, but it would be interesting to see if my visions would be the same or different).

DSOTM would also be interesting, I just get psuedo-religious pictures for some reasons.

I have very nearly had a hallucination but then I was very light headed and almost in trance(Floyd is very good for trances) and that felt WONDERFUL!! I can't really remember what I saw though(Damn!).
