Showdown time... The Wall vs. Meddle

Alright all,

Taking the advice from terminalfrost, I'm posting a poll asking you to decide between two great PF albums.

The Wall has some great moments on it, as does Meddle, but which is on top? Is the PF that was just about to reach it's peak better than the PF beginning to slide down the icy slope?

Up to you.

I'm out.

-Dave

that kind of question is always hard for me to answer.... i mean echoes is better than any wall songs but the whole wall album is better than the whole meddle... i'm confused

I guess it depends on your personal view of the question. I created the poll asking what album do you think is better as a whole, but you can interperet it however you wish.

Can't decide. Both flip all the right switches for me each in their own peculiar ways.

What he said. Like choosing between steak or Lobster.

If pressed, I'd say The Wall. It's the one I've listened to most.

I chose Meddle for the presence of Echoes alone. It was a tough choice, but it took me no longer than a couple minutes to decide. As a whole, the Wall is far and away the better ALBUM, but if I lost my copy, I could go a while before I purchased another. If I lose Meddle, I can't breathe until I buy another!

It may be because I am currently listening to it, but I would have to the say the wall, because you can't listen to individual songs, you have to listen to the lot. Although Echoes makes Meddle a very close second, the album as a whole does not entice me in the same way

Gotta have them both for it to be a PF collection, but if the ol' desert island choice was given to me, I'd choose Meddle...Echoes is just too strong!

I hate to point out the obvious, but Echoes is only 1 song. Fair enough it is half the album, but you can't really say that is a better album based on Echoes alone

Yes, yes you can, when nothing on the Wall is equal.

Ok there is not an individual track as good but the question is which album.
I'm not saying this is the case with Meddle and The Wall as it is a matter of opinion, but if one album has one amazingly good track and another album has a few good tracks it may balance out.
