What about a match between Waters and Gilmour? Here are my votes, from 1 (the least) to 5 is (the most):

Singer: W 4 - G 5 (Dave has better voice, but Roger has that screamy tone)
Arranger (performance director): W 3 - G 5 (Dave did prduce most of their material)
Musician (instrument player): W 3 - G 5 (Dave knows his work)

Doesnt Rog suck at the bass? I always get a feeling that he does. Non of the floyd pieces has got great bass lines. Please correct me if im wrong...

What about it? Hell, if I can play it.. any fool can.

I think 'Money' iz a fantastic bass line - weather or not it iz technically difficult to play

another of RW's simple but memorable bass riffs iz on 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun'

Admittedly it is not a great bass line in money, but would it be any better a song with bass like paranoid for example. Or even echoes, particularly the pomeii version. He aint great but he aint the worst in the world either and like you said yourself he makes up for it in his writing

Non of us have ever said that his bass lines arnt great. We just say that he isnt as good as dave is on his guitar....and that he isnt spesially good. And as i said, his writing and composing takes care of what he lacks in tech. Good music is often easy to play. I will never state any different.
