Oh...you received messages from Fixxy too huh?

No...the old mobile doesn't exactly capture the sound in hi-fi does it. By all accounts it was a very impressive gig.

Envious of both Driven (for having Fixx's company during Rog's show) and J for having seen 3 more Floyds than me.

Re: WISH YOU WERE HERE.....10/10

I am sure J would apologise if he could, NNJ, but he probably won't.

And Driven, I think, protests too much what with seeing Roger with fixxy and all.

Re: WISH YOU WERE HERE.....10/10

WYWH is a great album.

I've been listening to bootlegs of some of the live 77 tour shows, and they are even more entertaining to me than the studio album.
Snowy's extra guitar and the spontaneity of the group have me dazzled.

I recommend RoIOs to all who love this album.

Indeed Stratman. In fact, I am listening to an RoIO of the Oakland Coliseum show on 9/5/77 at the moment. Of the three RoIO's I've heard from the American leg of the tour thus far, it is my favorite. The guitar solos are incredible, and the band is indeed enjoyably spontaneous. All in all, they sound like they're having a pretty good time. It is truly enchanting.

That Oakland CDr seems to be making the rounds.

My advice is that not all boots are as nice as this one.

Indeed. The RoIO I have from the famous Quebec show of that same tour sounds like crap. The best RoIO I've heard so far (granted, I've unly just begun building my RoIO collection) is In the Shadow of Vesuvius from the 1971 show in Pompeii. As hit or miss as the quality levels of these RoIO's can be, I enjoy them very much.
