Re: Van Halen?

I think it'd be fitting if when Dave dies, he's "found dead on the phone." He's become the very corporate whore Rog was railing about all those 24 years ago.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Now we're wishing Dave dead. Oh dear.

I'm not wishing him dead, I just think it would be fitting.

Re: Van Halen?

Dave died many years ago. The corporate bosses hired a fat look alike to appear in front of audiences and used previously unreleased recordings of Floyd standards to play at concerts and shows. This way Floyd can continue to make money for the PIGS.

Re: Van Halen?

I'll say it again, "Oh dear oh dear oh dear."

Poor Dave.

Re: Van Halen?

If they wanted to hire a Dave look-alike, why on earth would they make him fat? Just find some short, skinny guy who never washes his long, long, dirty hair, and you've got Dave, 1970-1983.

Re: Van Halen?

I might as well jump!

There was a post in this, I think, the first Van Halen thread that actually started the 5 fave/best guitarists (untopically omitting Eddie Van Halen) debate, another about the swearing and naughty talk standards, the impending death of David, the gut-wielding rampager and the thread's still in the General Section.

Re: Van Halen?

Many birds with one stone. or vice versa.

A classic, nevertheless!

Things have changed, eh?

Re: Van Halen?

But the song remains the same.

The more things change, the more peculiar they look from a different angle.
