| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? Not Now John rules! I mean It's the only song with a fast rhythm on TFC - I think. Anyway, The Final Cut isn't such a bad album at all. |

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? You're right, the Hero's Return has a kind of a fast beat, but the best part of the album are the lyrics, the music is simply not that good, but i like the album none the less. |

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? The Final Cut, as a whole, is much better then some older, and some more recent albums. I have noticed that it has been given a bad rap on alot of other Floyd web sites. I can't see how when you have albums like "Ummagumma" and "Atom Heart Mother". Which in my opinion, have only one or two really good tracks on each album. I go through moods where I'll listen to a certain Floyd album for a whole week or longer. And I've been listening to TFC for about the last week. Like I said, as a whole, the Final Cut rocks. But only if you don't compare it say...DSotM or WYWH, or even Meddle. Which I believe alot of the people who do compare it to albums that are "well known" in the publics eye, are the ones who say it sucks. Anywho, there's my 2 cents worth. Anyone have any change?

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? I think TFC is a stand out album. The reason it gets such a bad rap is probably because Gilmour and Mason were excluded from the creative process more than ever before. Although the album may come off sounding disjointed and it lacks the narrative cohesiveness of The Wall, it certainly ranks as one of Waters' best lyrical efforts up to that point. Waters' songwriting was obviously getting more and more lyrically driven and thus, the music sort of took a back seat on this album more so than on any of the previous albums. Like someone said above, this is not to say that TFC isn't good music, it's just different from what many are used to hearing. The title track, "The Gunner's Dream," and "Two Suns in the Sunset" are among my favorite Floyd songs of all time. It's just that TFC is not an album one can listen to casually at any given time (but that could apply to much of Floyd's music).

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? I agree with Fixxlevy, there really isn't much that you can relate to on TFC. Definately the Pink Floyd album in my collection that gets the least air time (but I wouldn't use the word 'worst', just least favourite).

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? TFC is definitely weak, though I'm not sure if it's their weakest album. It's hard to say. Its definitely a low point creatively, considering its largely made up of unused scraps, compared with something such as Ummagumma or Atom Heart Mother, which are attempts to be experimental. I like the album myself, but I definitely see why it's not widely liked. It is rather boring and lifeless. Not a typical Floyd album, sounds like something by Rabbit Bundrick, actually. People probably would enjoy it more if they looked at it not as a Floyd album, but then again, the original question was whether or not it's the worst Floyd album. That said, I would have to say yes. It's good overall, but musically innovative? Please!

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? Can you imagine people... It happened to me a couple of days ago... I started realise... That I really like the song... THE FINAL CUT. It's fantastic...I even like Rog's voice in it...it has atmosphere... omg, never thought it can happen to me. <just wanted to share> LOL Though the song is entirely pathetic like most of Rog's songs... _________________ "Who gives a ****..?" | Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? So, i'm listening TFC for the 1st time right now and i must say it's not that bad. The problem is that it's not a Pink Floyd album... everything was done by Roger; David and Nick just played (this last not always) and Richard was out! I wonder why it was released as a PF work, to me it looks much more like a Waters solo album... Anyway, i just saw "The thin red line" yesterday, this would have been a nice soundtrack for that movie. Btw, in "The fletcher memorial home", at time 1:23/1:24, during the pause between -mr.Brezhnev and party- and -the ghost of McCarthy- i'm pretty sure there's an italian voice asking "Scusi, dov'è il bar?" (that means "Sorry, where's the bar") am i wrong?

| Re: The Final Cut...worst album??? You are not wrong that "Scusi, dov'é il bar?" means "Excuse me, where is the bar?". Whether it appears where you say you think it does, I cannot answer as I haven't a copy of TFC. Sorry,
