| Re: Today In Music History Feb 28, '86---->Yoko Ono's disasterous "Starpeace" tour opened in Brussels to a whopping turnout of 300 people, causing the North American leg of the tour to be cancelled. We who live in Canada and the US owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Belgians.

| Re: Today In Music History March 1, 1969 Doors' lead singer Jim Morrison was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, indecent exposure, open profanity and public drunkeness as a result of actions on stage during a concert in Miami. He was found guilty in August 1970 on the exposure and profanity charges. Morrison's sentence - eight months hard labor and a $500 fine - were on appeal when Morrison died in Paris in 1971. March 1, 1979 Elvis Costello began a tour in Birmingham, Alabama to support his "Armed Forces" LP. During a stop in Columbus, Ohio, Costello had a much-publicised confrontation with singers Bonnie Bramlett and Stephen Stills in a hotel bar after casting a racial slur against Ray Charles.
