| Re: Congrats to Dave Some of Metallica's stuff is pretty good. Master of Puppets and One are both great songs. I just bought the magazine that this thread is really about and there's some other gilmourian stuff I should mention to you. Not only did he get 4th for Comfortably Numb, he got 21st for Time and 62nd for Money. Also, Megadeth's guitarist stated that his favorite solo is Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Nancy Wilson chose I'm Only Sleeping by the Beatles, but says she doesn't like to choose just one "because it requires you to neglect too many unforgettable moments of sheer guitar rapture and bliss, like David Gilmour on Wish You Were Here, Jimmy..." Just thought I'd let you know (and help Charade get the thread back on track :smile: ) |

| Re: Congrats to Dave Comfortably Numb is my favorite solo, but his work on Money is good, too. Also, someone a while back posted here about the VH1 100 albums. What a crock of crap to DSOTM at 51. I couldn't believe it. I did agree, though, that the Beatles albums are near the top, but didn't agree with the Beatle's album chosen as #1. |
