But it's not DSOTM or anything, you know what I mean?

Perhaps this is part of a set-up Waters comeback. Get his new solo album a bit more attention before its announced.

I hope Waters' album comes out soon, so I hope you're right.

I must confess that I'm supremely uninterested in the re-release of TFC.

The improvement over the 1997 remaster is slight, but noticeable. It's like the difference between the 1992 DSOTM and the 2003 CD layer.

Personally, I don't mind having WTTBF on the album, it's a little out-of-place lyrically but the flow is still preserved and it's a new mix as well.

I found the improvement to be VERY noticeable. There were moments in listening where I found myself rewinding simply because I didn't remember there being background vocals.
Also, pretty much ALL of the sound clips and samples are much more prominent...
I used to have to strain to hear a lot of the vocals, especially at the beginning of the album, and now I can keep my volume at one level and hear the whole thing.

I dunno, the way I look at it, if you simply "liked" the album BEFORE... you'll appreciate it much more with this remaster.

I practically cried at the beauty of the whole thing. **fake sobs**

If you own the final cut, its plain stupidity to buy the new one.

Unless you sell the old one at a used CD store and pick up the new one cheaply. Which is what I did. Net cost: $6
