Really? That's weird. I can see all your points, but I dunno... I'm just a big fan of Radio KAOS. Although Amused To Death does kick ass. But Pros&Cons sucks? I can't believe I heard that. Pros&Cons kicks ass as well in my opinion.

albatross: You may like her music (hey, everyone's got their own tastes, and I don't expect you to accept mine, etc., etc.) but I just can't see her doing Floyd. Bryan Adams either. He's a national embarrassment.

im with ya on the bryan adams thought... i just think that was a wonderful version of mother. I don't think sinead would work w/ many (any?) other floyd songs.

I sang Interstellar Overdrive once in public. People said it must have been mixed really badly, they couldn't even hear my vocals.

Sadly, it seems that PeRCeiVe is no longer here.

But I wanted to make a comment on the concept of Radio KAOS. Sure, it could not happen in real life. But then have you ever read One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez? Although some of the things in that novel could have never happened, it DID effectively illustrate some of the problems in Latin America. And just look up Márquez to see what he earned for his efforts...

The technique, by the way, is called "magical realism", and is a perfectly legitimate thing to do. You're not SUPPOSED to believe every detail of it, but it can be a clever way to point out whatever concepts or themes you want to--themes that can have a real world application.

Shit. What the hell? He played the whole KAOS album on the KAOS tour as somebody tried to point out. I saw it! I didn't care too much for the album but that statement is as silly as the concept behind KAOS. I agree with what FloydWright said, though. Star Wars aint believable but alot of you seem to like it!

Personally, I enjoyed KAOS, and I actually thought it was better at magical realism than 100 Years of Solitude. For those that think Mr. Waters goes on and on, try reading that book. Trust me. When you see that, you'll understand why I must compliment Mr. Waters for being more concise--even if he'd put in KAOS every song he originally intended!!!

And yes, I like Star Wars, too.
