Peter Gilmour played bass in Joker's Wild in 1966. As you can tell, I love my PF Encyclopedia! Let's have someone else take a shot at a question, since it's pretty much been between Stratman and myself for the last couple rounds... say, GeeDub#1. I think she deserves to get the next question, because she thought up the Peter Gilmour connection. And without that, I wouldn't have been able to find him in the PF Encyclopedia. So... shoot away, GilmourWhore... that is, if Stratman's cool with it.

How about someone asking a question here?

Go ahead DaFloyd, take the stage. Obviously, the Gilmour-babe is not interested. Give us your best shot!

Thx a bunch, DaFloydFan! How 'bout that guy? Dredges this thread back up, gets us all "amped", then ...........WEASELS OUT! OK, I'm taking over. We've discussed lately Roger's fondness for skewering people he knows in his lyrics, directly or indirectly. Question: In ATD, at the end of "What God Wants, pt 1" there is a backwards message. Who is this message for? Bonus points if you know what the message says.

The message is for Stanley Kubrick but I don't know (and don't care) what it says.

The BBC Omnibus series had a programme about the Apollo 11 mission. Pink Floyd provided live music . What was the name of that BBC programme?

I am afraid I cannot answer the last question, and prefer to not search online for it...Although I did sift through 55 pages of trivia, I decided to post in the hopes that this topic was not touched yet. On which show in late 1967, did Syd refuse to lip-sync as he stared blankly while the track played? BONUS: On this show, a glazed stare was Barret's only response to interview questions posed by the host?

The answer to Da_Floyd_Fan's question is: the title of the program was "What If It's Just Green Cheese?" And to answer charizmapf28's question: Syd did both on the Pat Boone Show on November 5th, 1967.

The Pat Boone show is correct...for the bonus question...!! However, there is a different answer other than the Pat Boone show for the first question..

I think the show he wouldn't lip-sync on was "American Fruitstand", with Dick Clark.

Oh crap - I was wrong. I could have sworn that it said that in Saucerful of Secrets, but I read it wrong.
