Re: Pink Floyd Fan Music Recommendations

Lyricly i'd say no. Music wise i'd say if Floyd started out today then that's more like what they would sound like. IMFO.
Pick up 'Kid A'.

Re: Pink Floyd Fan Music Recommendations

Well, ATH, with all due respect, if you said you were who you are not, and only now you tell everyone who you really are, it's obvious that at least some people would want (and, I think, deserve) some explanations. If you don't want to post these explanations publicly, PM them. So far, nobody seems to be flaming anybody here, so I have no reasons to ask people to make this discussion private.

Shine on,
Paulo

I just did give my explanation. If it's not "good enough," I'm crushed. But anyway, I explained.

...?
What does any of this have to do with Fan Reccomendations again?
Anyway, it said before "I did give my explanations before in PM..." Then I remembered, well duh, everybody needs one.
Therefore...

Re: Pink Floyd Fan Music Recommendations

hey i gave a recommendation therefore i should be able to go off topic for a min. besides it went off topic a little while ago and you didn't seem to mind then. i was just wondering about the post because it said something about "why whine and bring it up" in response to what paulo said. thought maybe you grew some balls for a minute.

Re: Pink Floyd Fan Music Recommendations

-Metallica (S&M sounds great)
-RAMMSTEIN (their songs have a very special atmosphere)

...but they'll never reach Pink Floyd...

All the prog of the 70' is great:
King Crimson - In the court, red and more
Camel - The Snow goose
Jethro Tull

Also Dire Sraits.
Let me know what you think about the above.

Re: Pink Floyd Fan Music Recommendations

king crimson is great but my fav prog rock bands are ELP and Yes. Argent is also good though only their progressive stuff. Gentle Giant is also great. i also like the new prog stuff like spocks beard and flower kings but the best is porcupine tree.
