Looks like a Jazz Bass to me and I've been playing bass for 40 years. Had one for 38 years, now I have a Precission.

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

Is there any where that I can view pictures of David Gilmours lap steel setup, and do you know if he has ever used a pedal steel. I am learning to play one. It's a Carter 10 string, E9th tunning. Sounds really cool.

I have several mandolins. Its a very versital instrument. Led Zepplin used a mandolin a good bit. Did you get an "A' model or an "F" model?

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

Ok... here's my short but efficiente gear...

2003 Fender Stratocaster, made in Mexico, Red w/whuite pickguard

Fender Frontman 25 w Amp

Line 6 Pod XT, a REALLY good product, with that I emulate David's Hiwatt and many other effects(the mxr Phase 90, the dynacomp, leslie's rotary speakers, etc...) with preety decent result
and an acoustic ibanez.
I'm now earning money so as to buy the electro harmonix Big Muff, wich isn't in the Pod' gear, and it's essential for gilmour's sound, isnt' it?... Fpr the ones who already have it... wich version you recomend?? the american EH or the russian Sovtec version?? I heard both are great...
and, adding to that, a violin, not a good one, but a decent one:P

Guitars:
ELECTRIC:
2002 Fender Mexican Stratocaster (sunburst; my baby... totally stock)
2001 Fender Squier Fat Telecaster (cream-colored, but currently tiled with load-limit stickers; a very good guitar, actually. Replaced the pots, switch, and bridge pickup [to a Fender '52 Vintage])
2003 J. Reynolds Les Paul copy (black; currently out-of-order due to a bad tone pot. Not a bad guitar at all)
ACOUSTIC:
1996 Yamaha Eterna (beat to shit; my first guitar. Currently retired, but I play it every so often... sweet sound)
2002-3 Yamaha F-310 (the above guitar's replacement. I always stick by my Yamahas)
2001 Fender DG-series 12-string (black in color)

AMPS:
Yamaha G-101 (2X12", 100W. A very loud, sturdy amplifier that cost me only $195)
Fender BXR-25 (bass amp, which I use for guitar. 25W, one 12" speaker. Awesome sound)
Crate practice amp (25W, 8" speaker. Room use only, dig?)

DRUMS:
1998 Pearl Forum 5-piece (had this thing for almost as long as I've been drumming. Forest green. Been through a lot)

KEYBOARDS:
Casio CTK-335 (cheesy piece of shit, which I use anyway. My freind Brandon Malzohn [of Machinist Noise Assualt fame] circuit-bent it, and added a very useful distortion knob)
1959 Hammond M3 electric organ (beautiful! I consider the $200 I paid for it to have been very well spent. Blonde finish, as well... quite rare)

EFFECTS:
Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi
Boss DS-1
DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 (old and malfunctioning; I plan to replace it soon)
Danelectro Daddy-O Overdrive (I run my Hammond through it... awesome sound)

...and a black Fender Mexican Telecaster, added to the stable last week.

Go ahead and list your stuff if you want.
Though I'd update on the whereabouts of the gear on my original list.

'02 Fender Strat: got the nut repaired (it cracked in half for no reason), and is now my main guitar. Black pickguard, pickup covers, knobs. My favorite guitar right now.
'01 Squier Tele: currently in pieces. Screw holes on the neck stripped out. I raided the locking tuners off of this and put them on my Strat.
'03 JR Les Paul copy: was repaired by my brother, who then adopted it. Was used in the trash punk band Straw Boss. Now sits in my living room.
'96 Yamaha Eterna acoustic: currently sitting in my closet. I haven't played it in a long while.
'02 Yamaha F-310: my only real acoustic. Haven't played it in a while - been playing the Strat.
'01 Fender 12-string acoustic: the action has gotten damn near unplayable. Wish I could afford a neck reset. Currently collecting dust, depressingly.
Yamaha G-101 amp: finally took a shit about a year ago - wouldn't turn on at all. So I took the amp tray out of the cabinet, put in in a box, and gave the cab to my brother to use.
Fender BXR 25 amp: still beautiful. Wish I used it more. There isn't a better amp for clean guitar.
Crate practice amp: downstairs now, I don't think I've turned it on in maybe six months. It's good for living room jam sessions. My main room amp is a Vox Pathfinder 15-watt solid state with tremelo... it's a good little amp, nice low-gain tones with the Strat.
1998 Pearl Forum drumset: letting my brother's girlfriend's sister borrow it (she wants to start a band)
Both of the Casio keyboards are doing okay.
Big Muff Pi: brother uses it.
DS-1: my main distortion in a rehearsal situation, and I want to replace it.
DOD overdrive: haven't touched in a while
Daddy-O: it went to hell for some reason.

Kinda depressing, but that's how the gear goes.

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

Well...
Guitars:
Univox Ripper - white - 1976
Yamaha FG-336SBA - red sunburst - 1978
Squier Strat, '57 re-issue - sunburst - 1983
Fender 'Contemporary' Strat - Yellowish - 1985
El Degas P-Bass - Dark Blue - mid '70s

Amps:
Ibanez GX30 - 1978
Epiphone 'Valve Special' - 5W, but as loud as the Ibanez - 200?
Yorkville 80W bass amp

Effects:
Bought between '86-'88
Boss Super Overdrive
Boss DS1 Distortion
Boss power switch
Ibanez stereo digital delay
Ibanez stereo chorus/flanger
volume pedal
newer:
Cry baby wah
MXR stereo chorus

I also have a Yamaha PSR 550 keyboard
and a couple of cheap drumsets I got in the late '80s so I could teach myself to play and make recordings on my Tascam 4 track, share them around and remain stunningly unfamous.

I still use everything. It's all in tip top condition (except for the IBZ chorus/flanger, which burned out in '06 and started making a sound like boiling porridge, hence, the new MXR).

That Yamaha acoustic is just the fullest sounding guitar I've ever played.
The Univox ripper is naturally relic'd (by me of course)
The '57 re-issue sounds so crisp like a '50s strat should. One of the best I've heard.
The contemporary strat was made in Japan for U.S. import while the U.S. plant was closed during the employee buyout of CBS in '85.
And the El Degas sounds surprisingly good for a '70s budget line.

I used to have a 2003 VOX Valvetronix 60W amp and I loved it but the main problem with that one was the solder joints in the mega effects pre-amp kept breaking. I think they improved on the design later.

The Epiphone is a very pleasant warm sounding amp.
The IBZ GX30 is a typical solid state amp from the period. I used it for a very long time until I got the Epiphone.

Stuff that I pretended were mine, until the owners came back months or years later to reclaim the goods:
1954 Guild Electric Archtop. Clear finish. Just a neck pickup
1954 Fender ? 18W tweed amp
1967 (I think) Fender Starcaster

I also don't have a 1962 'Daphne Blue' strat with a rosewood slab, but I chose a name that would make people think I do...oh, Crap!

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

I just couldn't wrap my head around the idea of having dozens of guitars like some of the impressive lists on here. What would I do with them all?
But what few things I do have, have been getting used with regularity since the mid '70s since I first set out to confound the laws of physics and mess with static air molecules.

But all the same, I like creating envy in people just as much as the next guy.

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

Guitars:

93 Korean Strat - Used to be off white but has now been seriously modded. New Ash Body (as of 1999) which was stained forest green. Put in Lace pickups but those are going to be coming out as soon as I decide which pickups to get. New pots and 5 way to replace foreign. I've always loved the way it plays and until i can afford a new Strat (David Gilmour Strat) its what i got. In hindsight, I wish i'd have kept the original body and just changed the PUPs to retain whatever value it may have had.

Ovation Celebrity - Wife got that for me as a replacement for my previous one that was stolen. They can have the old one... this one plays like a dream. Thanks wife

Amp and Nylon string was also stolen so i'm ampless.

Sold all of my pedals and got a GT6 to allow for Amp modeling and FX which i plug straight into an old Digi 001 for recording. Man that 001 has a nice vintage sound LOL.

it works, it gets the job done and i have been able to get some nice recordings with it. Don't play out so don't really need an amp at this time but i still miss my Fender DeVille... i hope it caught fire on the thieves and they died a thousand fiery deaths.
