Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

Is there any where that I can view pictures of David Gilmours lap steel setup, and do you know if he has ever used a pedal steel. I am learning to play one. It's a Carter 10 string, E9th tunning. Sounds really cool.

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

I have several mandolins. Its a very versital instrument. Led Zepplin used a mandolin a good bit. Did you get an "A' model or an "F" model?

Re: List yer equipment... you know you want to

Ok... here's my short but efficiente gear...

2003 Fender Stratocaster, made in Mexico, Red w/whuite pickguard

Fender Frontman 25 w Amp

Line 6 Pod XT, a REALLY good product, with that I emulate David's Hiwatt and many other effects(the mxr Phase 90, the dynacomp, leslie's rotary speakers, etc...) with preety decent result
and an acoustic ibanez.
I'm now earning money so as to buy the electro harmonix Big Muff, wich isn't in the Pod' gear, and it's essential for gilmour's sound, isnt' it?... Fpr the ones who already have it... wich version you recomend?? the american EH or the russian Sovtec version?? I heard both are great...
and, adding to that, a violin, not a good one, but a decent one:P

Guitars:
ELECTRIC:
2002 Fender Mexican Stratocaster (sunburst; my baby... totally stock)
2001 Fender Squier Fat Telecaster (cream-colored, but currently tiled with load-limit stickers; a very good guitar, actually. Replaced the pots, switch, and bridge pickup [to a Fender '52 Vintage])
2003 J. Reynolds Les Paul copy (black; currently out-of-order due to a bad tone pot. Not a bad guitar at all)
ACOUSTIC:
1996 Yamaha Eterna (beat to shit; my first guitar. Currently retired, but I play it every so often... sweet sound)
2002-3 Yamaha F-310 (the above guitar's replacement. I always stick by my Yamahas)
2001 Fender DG-series 12-string (black in color)

AMPS:
Yamaha G-101 (2X12", 100W. A very loud, sturdy amplifier that cost me only $195)
Fender BXR-25 (bass amp, which I use for guitar. 25W, one 12" speaker. Awesome sound)
Crate practice amp (25W, 8" speaker. Room use only, dig?)

DRUMS:
1998 Pearl Forum 5-piece (had this thing for almost as long as I've been drumming. Forest green. Been through a lot)

KEYBOARDS:
Casio CTK-335 (cheesy piece of shit, which I use anyway. My freind Brandon Malzohn [of Machinist Noise Assualt fame] circuit-bent it, and added a very useful distortion knob)
1959 Hammond M3 electric organ (beautiful! I consider the $200 I paid for it to have been very well spent. Blonde finish, as well... quite rare)

EFFECTS:
Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi
Boss DS-1
DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 (old and malfunctioning; I plan to replace it soon)
Danelectro Daddy-O Overdrive (I run my Hammond through it... awesome sound)

...and a black Fender Mexican Telecaster, added to the stable last week.

Go ahead and list your stuff if you want.

Though I'd update on the whereabouts of the gear on my original list.

'02 Fender Strat: got the nut repaired (it cracked in half for no reason), and is now my main guitar. Black pickguard, pickup covers, knobs. My favorite guitar right now.
'01 Squier Tele: currently in pieces. Screw holes on the neck stripped out. I raided the locking tuners off of this and put them on my Strat.
'03 JR Les Paul copy: was repaired by my brother, who then adopted it. Was used in the trash punk band Straw Boss. Now sits in my living room.
'96 Yamaha Eterna acoustic: currently sitting in my closet. I haven't played it in a long while.
'02 Yamaha F-310: my only real acoustic. Haven't played it in a while - been playing the Strat.
'01 Fender 12-string acoustic: the action has gotten damn near unplayable. Wish I could afford a neck reset. Currently collecting dust, depressingly.
Yamaha G-101 amp: finally took a shit about a year ago - wouldn't turn on at all. So I took the amp tray out of the cabinet, put in in a box, and gave the cab to my brother to use.
Fender BXR 25 amp: still beautiful. Wish I used it more. There isn't a better amp for clean guitar.
Crate practice amp: downstairs now, I don't think I've turned it on in maybe six months. It's good for living room jam sessions. My main room amp is a Vox Pathfinder 15-watt solid state with tremelo... it's a good little amp, nice low-gain tones with the Strat.
1998 Pearl Forum drumset: letting my brother's girlfriend's sister borrow it (she wants to start a band)
Both of the Casio keyboards are doing okay.
Big Muff Pi: brother uses it.
DS-1: my main distortion in a rehearsal situation, and I want to replace it.
DOD overdrive: haven't touched in a while
Daddy-O: it went to hell for some reason.

Kinda depressing, but that's how the gear goes.

I've got about six inches. Nothing special, but it's mine, and I like it.
