Re: Radio KRAP

*sigh*

You'll have to forgive me, I've been in a really rotten mood the last few weeks. fixxlevy, whether or not he meant to, has inspired me. I'm going to stop this.

Hoping for the death of this thread, and any other negative threads or mini-threads I've started,
Kev

Re: Radio KRAP

It's not the negativity that i (and i think we) care about -you can have any opinion you want i'm not about to bash you for your opinion on floyd-

but all the talk that's not about Floyd is what's bugging me (us?). I realize we like to talk fun and games - but really, this is a Floyd Forum, not a "let's talk about how creatively we can say 'sliced-ham' in british slang" (that's an example, to be taken lightly).

Thanks

Charade I Am

Re: Radio KRAP

I gave it some thought, and just created a "Non-Floydian Discussion" category with two forums: "Music-related babbling..." and "Just babbling..." for anything off-topic as far as Pink Floyd and members are concerned. After all, this is a place to speak to other floydian fans, but not only about Pink Floyd.

Enjoy,

Paulo R. Dallagnol

Re: Radio KRAP

Thank You, Paulo.

I really appreciate your efforts here.
This will make things much simpler.
(Hopefully )

Thanks again.

Re: Radio KRAP

Agreed, saucerful. KAOS is NOT as bad as a lot of people say it is. I think some of these people just have a general aversion to 80's music. (I can understand why some people might think that way...I personally do not.)

Re: Radio KRAP

sometimes its just really bad to hear something so good in the 60's or 70's and then it goes into the 80's style and it sounds bad. its ok for bands of the 80's to sound 80's but when an older band or person goes that way it sounds so wrong. but thats just me.

Re: Radio KRAP

Guess it doesn't bother me...besides, I have good memories of the 80's (except for the eyesore fashions!), so it even has GOOD associations for me!

Re: Radio KRAP

It wasn't all bad...the worst part was the clothes and the hair. Even the Floyd didn't escape the bad clothes curse, if you look at SOME 80's pictures of them!

Re: Radio KRAP

Would i be wrong in saying that people don't like this album because it's perhaps very un-Roger, or even un-PF? While the lyrics and concepts are there, the music is very different and very 80's (understandably). Am i right?
