| The sound of the guitar Well. My problem is that i always want to have all sorts of sounds on the guitar. I hate not beeing able to play songs because of not having the effects or the right guitar. How do you guys do it? I would love to have the same sound as the solo guitar on what god wants part 1 and part 3. Especially part 3. But if you cant, how do you live with it? Just play it as best as you can? Help me out here. |

| Re: The sound of the guitar Just make do with what you have, or screw learning the song. I play breathe all the time without a phaser and it sounds awesome. Just don't worry too much about getting someone else's tone. Try to get your own sound. |

| Re: The sound of the guitar You can spend a lot of money, time and effort to sound exactly like sombody else, and people will just say...oh, sounds just like so and so. You'll just be another knock off, sound alike, copy cat. People will regard you as not being too original. On the other hand, you can work with what you have, find your sound, generate a unique vibe that expresses the inner you. Then no matter what you play, be it a Floyd cover, or your own composition, people will sit up and take notice. The choice is yours.

| Re: The sound of the guitar Look Here.... http://www.davidgilmour.danzka.org/dlotae.htm Go to the "Read" tab at the bottom left, then select "Gear". If that doesn't tell you everything you want to know, then I don't know what will.
