SGT. Pepper's is easily best.

Most of Abbey Road is crap, IMO.

Re: Abbey road or sgt pepper?

Hmm... well, you should get Revolver if you ask me....
And, Let it Be...naked is also awsome. Much better than the first let it be.
But, between Abbey Road and Sgt Pepper... Sgt Pepper was the first beatles album i got. It's very good. But so is abbey road. But, since i got Sgt. Pepper first, it has some value too me, so i'd go for that one.

*cough* *splutter*

Surely thou jest?

OK, so Maxwell's SIlver Hammer wasn't the best McCartney tune and as for Octopus's Garden ...

But he redeems himself brilliantly by coming up with the medley idea for side 2 of the LP. How can you fault anything between You Never Give Me Your Money and The End?

Everything else with the exception of Maxwell, Garden and Her Majesty is excellent. My personal favourite is I Want You (She's So Heavy).

Good Lord, buy this album if you haven't got it. You fools!

Abbey Road is without question my favorite Beatles album.

But we are all individuals!

Re: Abbey road or sgt pepper?

Of course.

I love the album. I like things from a melodic/musical point of view. Great album melodically (as with Floyd - very meloldic band).

Re: Abbey road or sgt pepper?

Buy the American version of Magical Mystery Tour... the one with all the singles added to it. That's probably the most solid you'll find. After that, Abbey Road.

I admit I've never listened to the album, so I don't know if I've heard all of the songs. But I hate Come Together, Something, Maxwell, Octopus Garden, Here Comes the Sun.

I agree that "I Want You (SSH)" is good.

Mustard, Carry that weight, Bathroom window are tossable.

The rest, I don't know if I've even heard them.

But I did own Sgt Pepper when I was younger and stupider, and it was pretty solid all the way through.

Re: Abbey road or sgt pepper?

John and George are pretty much neck and neck. Always thought Paul to be a prick, and Ringo is just, well, Ringo. Notorious for his crap voice.

Just buy everything that hasn't been in the charts for the last 40 years.

Start saving.
