hmmm

I'd say, Stairway To Heaven, Comfortably Numb, or La Villa Strangiato.

I'd have to say Just (You Do It To Yourself) by Radiohead. It's not an incredibly fast solo or anything, it's just really intense and makes the song memorable.

for keyboards i would say rod argent's solo in "time of the season" or any keith emerson solo. for guitar i would say "machine gun" by jimi hendrix. i heard it the other day and it blew me away. but i'll probably find a new better one in a couple of days. there are too many good solos to not find a new better one.

fixxy,

That's just typical. Set us a challenge which you KNOW is an impossible one to fulfil. Only one guitar solo indeed.

Er...any instrument? What's the title about then?

OK, I'll shut up and get one with it.

Guitar solo:

Black Magic Woman: Santana
Get Back (Do It Again): Steely Dan
Cloudburst Flight: Tangerine Dream
Paintbox, Money/Time, Comfortably Numb: Pink Floyd

Ha! There's seven to be getting on with and I didn't even mention Stairway to Heaven or Freebird, let alone several others.

Floyd on!
Byron

"Leyenda" by Isaac Albeniz. Listen to it sometime, if you're into Spanish fingerstyle. It's amazing.
