Has this ever happened to you?

First one at a red light. Beautiful day, sun out, windows down, listening to Pompeii version of Echoes. Light turns green and it's about 20-30 seconds before the person behind me honks their horn letting me know that the light is, and has been green for quite some time. No, i wasn't on drugs either. Do certain pink floyd songs send anyone else into trance-like states? I know it does for me at times. Anything off meddle, and set the controls definitely do.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

Well, that's an everyday experience for me really. I can sometimes trip to music, without being on drugs. Like when i ride the buss to school.
And, music can also stimulate in an almost sexual way, because of the spinal fluids located in your (logically) spine... ever felt music giving you these good chills down in the spine? I feel it all the time.

OMG Yes! It actually happened today on the school bus. Only it was SOYCD, and I everyone was like, Jaimee, you look stoned. (I wasn't) It's so weird. I didn't notice anything else going on around me until my friend hit me in the head. And malkavian, I DO have PF give my chills down the spine. PF is like the only band that can do that to me though.... That's one of the reasons they're my fave band.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

I can't listen to music on the bus, my school blows. But alot of songs do that for me, like if its a long smooth song or like a long solo I can just sit and mellow out and its like weed only you dont have to smoke it and it costs less. Like "Echoes" Or Careful with that axe. . ." Or non PF songs like the ending solo on Nirvana's Unplugged version of Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World" it's just the beautiful solos that get me.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

Yeah, sometimes there's a Pink Floyd moment where I just zone out. But one musical moment that is a guaranteed "shiver up your spine" is the ending scream on the live version of "Won't Get Fooled Again" on The Kids Are Alright.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

I was watching the Pompeii DVD, and somebody was knocking on my door but I didn't even hear. I was so freaked out by Roger's deathly screaming on Careful with that Axe....

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

can't have music on school and bus... what kind of sick sick twisted rules are that... holy crap... i'd probably just die if it was like that here. Yowsa.
Another song that gives amazing chills is "Joe Cocker - With a little help from my friends" (the live version from woodstock, the album version isn't near that good)...
you should check it out.
