not only is it different from person to person, but it can vary from day to day too. Depends on your mood. It's all about feelings, freedom and how you recieve it really. One day Mother can make you burst out in tears, two days later it can just be another song of a great Pink Floyd album.

If you are refering to which songs are most meaningful to the story of The Wall, I'd have to say Mother. One of the biggest bricks in the wall, IMO.

Agreed, also Another Brick (Part 2), which isnt on his list but is also very meaningful because alot of kids teachers in schools ridicule them and make them feel like sh*t, which may shape who the kid becomes.

Aneurysm has a point... Sounds like my science teacher.

But yeah, it's just about exactly what malkavian said. depends on the mood.

Lightbulb

I guess so but really Brick in the Wall 2 and Mother are more like reasons for Pink being the way he is but Comfortably numb and Nobody Home are getting into the way he feels, his psyche

(BTW thanks for the welcome floydPhreak)

As far a meaning as a whole. I think if they are listened to in the order they are on the album, the meaning of each is more dramatic then the last.
You can feel the emotion getting greater as the songs progress on the album.

Well, I personally am extremely deep so i feel it only appropriate to share my depth...

The meanings of songs are exactly what you think they mean, no more and no less.

I believe it was Lee who said, "this world is what it appears to you, and that is all you know"

Therefore, I find it rather fulucious for you to ask this rather well read group of people on their opinions of these particular songs, as it is your opinion that matters first and foremost.

I agree, you come on a Pink Floyd discussion board and ask peoples opinions about Pink Floyd? What were you thinking?

Iluvatar, do not be harsh. He is simply trying to expand his knowledge. Try being more tactful in your approach with these lads and I think you'll find the world a happier place
