yay, let's start a really nerdy thread...
what's everyone's favorite Comic Books and Comic Books Heroes?

i think mine are Batman, and Wolverine.
I Also like the Sandman Books and Lone Wolf and Cub.
I've most books, but some comics too, comics are really good when you ride an hour with a bus each way too school and such.

I read and loved the Batman comics as a kid. I just received a Calvin & Hobbs comic book as a gift and I really enjoy it!

Re: favorite comic book hero

I read the batman comic... The Dark Night Returs, which was brilliant. Probably the best i've read. And, i prefer DC Comics over Marvel. Marvel is so sparky and flashy, while in gotham it's always dark and rainy and Batman isn't really a superhero, he's just a physically strong, very smart, very rich guy with gadgets and such. And he uses it to fight crime. Besides, he's pretty vigilante style. The only Marvel comics i really enjoy has to be the Wolverine magazines. He's a righteous chaotic but good natured "superhero"... and it's in black and white, not that flashy sparkly marvel colours.
Aye... i have no life ::sigh::

This is exactly the reason why I really like Batman. He's just SO much more believeable... he's a human, who uses his brain and money to develop gadgets and fight crime. None of that bullets-bouncing-of-the-chest-of-stell stuff

The reason why I also like Spidey is because, well, in contrast to him, his enemies are SO much more powerful. Plus, Mary Jane is hot

Re: favorite comic book hero

As a young whippersnapper I was brought up in dreary old Scotland, and god... it was gloomy. One of the delights I had, was American comicbooks with charcters such as Superman, Batman, Justice League of America, Spiderman, Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer. Siver Surfer was really cool and I even bought a T shirt at the Readuing Festival in 76 with him on it. Sadly nowadays the term Silver Surfer means something quite different.....god once I wore the T shirt and now I nearly am the T shirt (groan). I loved the artwork in these comics...seem to remember Carmine Infantino (may have the name wrong)was one of the artists. Wonderful artwork and worthy of any gallery. I also remember the Archie comics...perhaps our American posters can tell me if they're still on the go. I somehow doubt it.

I was doing my monthly or so surfing through the channels on our TV, which i hardly really use for other than DVD and when i got to Cartoon Network, i must admit i nearly got a new fav cartoon show. Charlie Brown... what a funky show, it has everything, besides, the music is awsome.
