Re: Negativity

I guess there's a negative side to every Floyd album...there's not a single album you can't find fault with, no matter how minor it may be. But that's not the thing to dwell on. You will never again hear from me "X album sucks." It's bullshit. I hope the rest of you realise it as well, though I understand tastes are different. If there is one album you can't find any single good thing about, fine. Otherwise, whatever. I've been guilty of it a few times, I know. I'd like to set the record straight.

Ummagumma, Studio Disc: The Narrow Way and Grantchester Meadows are enough to keep this album in heavy rotation with me.

AMLoR: Learning to Fly, On the Turning Away, and Sorrow are, imho, three of the best Floyd songs, any Floyd.

TDB: High Hopes and Coming Back to Life save it for me.

I listen to all three albums quite a bit, not as much as some of the other stuff, but they're good for a change, you know? I defy any one of you to come out and say there is absolutely nothing good about More, AMLoR, whatever album it's trendy to trash.

Re: Negativity

I don't think it's really trendy to trash More. It's just of all the Pink Floyd albums I own it is my least favorite. So many of the songs just aren't good in my opinion. There's some high points, but not enough to make it, um, "good". But I understand that there may be those that like it, but that's their choice to like bad music (j/k).
