Creed is the WORST mainstream band in the music business right now. The vocalist is a poseur who is extremely full of himself. The music is second-rate, watered down Metallica riffs meets Pearl Jam finding religion. There are far better bands out there, both in the mainstream and a lot more in the indie scenes.

I personally don't like anything that's ever been on TRL. Not as a rule, just a pattern I've noticed. Creed is waaay overrated. I find it repetitive, formulaic, and pretentious, but oh well...

I think you Creed lovers must have missed the Scott Stapp comment comparing his band to one "Led Zeppelin". Possibly a little arrogant?

Actually, if you go to Creed's website (whatever it might be... I'm too lazy to find the url again....), Scott whatshisface says that he's agnostic, so they aren't pushing their religion on anyone--- they don't have any religion to push. If you want to know what the hell they're doing with all the Christian imagery, I suggest you read their FAQ; it's actually quite informative and dull.

As for music quality, they're okay, but yeah, it's pretty much Pearl Jam revisited.

I agree with all the Creed haters. Sapp has a HUGE ego and is basically impersonating Vedder's voice to a tee! In fact, almost all the newer bands sound exactly alike! There's virtually nothing fresh or innovative anymore in music. That's probably why a lot of us are stuck on the old bands like Floyd, Zeppelin, Genesis, Creme and the Stones.

For the record though, I love Pearl Jam and don't think the comparison sticks.
