Actually if some of you paid attention, you'd know that I am a huge Waters fan. I even disagree with Gerald's opinion about TFC. But let's face it, the guy isn't the most musical person in the world. And P&C is a load of rubbish.

I think that pros and cons is his best solo album, musicaly speaking it definitely is. Those moments where the guitar and the piano are really like reacting to each other, are just so beautiful.

no its is not. Its a very misunderstood album about dreams and love and death. Its very odd but its a very mind tripping.

Having sex with Anita Dark for me would be better. Really.

Is pros and cons ANY GOOD? I've had it in my hand ready to buy quite a few times, but I've heard so much bad press about this album, and respected online reviewers trashing it (Mark Prindle, who has reviewed about 1000 discs for his site, says it's the worst album he's ever heard). Please reply quickly because I feel oddly drawn to this album, and I don't want to waste money on it tomorrow.

My opinion about this album is that it's a masterpiece, at first i also had my doubts about it. Because of al the bad reviews and stuff. But when i heard it, i was stunned. It was great, great guitar work, great saxophone etc. The album can be a bit unlistenable to some people, but what i always do is listen to the whole album like it's one song. Then it will be a great experience, i still listen to the album almost every day.

You see, this is WHY I'm unsure.

Online reviewers are no help, amazon is no help whatsoever (the reviews are either one star or five stars, proclaiming it to be complete shite or a masterpiece) and this place is no help. Urgh.

You don't want us to dictate your tastes, do you?

I find the lyrics interesting, the music repetitive, the musicianship only so-so. But, hey, that's my opinion.

Then again, I also find Waters to be an extremely annoying person, so I may not be very objective.

Could someone send me the worst and best songs on this album? Sorry, I know it's a lot to ask, but for some reason I'm drawn to this album, and I have a horrible feeling it will be execrable.

Re: does anyone know why roger used the same melody so many times on pros and cons?

My problem with P & C is it sounds like leftover blather Roger threw together; a pot pourri of random non-sequitors. Hence, he cops out by calling it a "dream".
Since he didn't have Dave to annoy him with trying to make it "musical", poor ol' Eric, trying to be dutiful, got a total of about 2 minutes playing time.

I like TFC, tolerate RKaos, like ATD, but pros & cons falls short.

It's been so long since I listened to it I can't remember the songs that well, but I think "Every Stranger's Eyes" is probably considered good by those who like the album.

I think Go fishing is great, especially at the end of the song.

Is 'go fishing' the screaming one?
