Nope. Nothing at all.

I'm sure you know this already, but being so near the arctic circle, the weather in Scotland could be described as inclement (at best), so we have plenty of "thunder" here already.

What a coincidence

Cheers!

Mark

What do I fear the most? I am going to be honest, and in my answer you will see why I identify with certain PF music (I have many more reasons, but this is only one).

I fear losing my mind.

Yes. And having it working against you is also non-fun.

Ahhh, comedowns.

In my opinion, no one is afraid of dying, they're afraid of being dead. Think about it a second.

Hey, has anyone seen the eyeball violence in Ace Ventura 2: Nature calls!!!

Actually i would venture to say that most people are more afraid of not being alive than being dead or dying. I surely am.

Hey anybody got a root canal done ? I surely don't wanna go thru that again ! Anyways, I'm shit scared of losing my mind, of knowing that I'm NOT in control of myself and of failing when it mattered the most.

I'm afraid that this ceiling fan above is going to suddenly fall off while it is spinning very fast, chopping me until several small pieces.

Yikes.

I had a dream once where I started floating up toward a ceiling fan on high, and how I screamed! What an awful dream.

Not wanting to cause any further, undue stress, but yesterday in London there occurred a most harrowing incident which will probably have most of your bum-holes tightening into something very tight:

Eye Violence Writ Large: On a route 36 bus from Victoria station, near the MI5 military intelligence (misnomer?) building a 17 year old man and a 42 year old man got into an argument over a seat on the packed bus.

After a very vocal argument and a brief scuffle, the 42y.o. man had his eye plucked out by the bare hand of the 17 year old who is now, thankfully, in police custody.

The world is going to Hell in a hand basket.

Be safe, be sane. Be cool,

That is NASTY. What kind of sickness of the heart can make a person do something like that to another?

FW,

Sadly, it may be the result of Western society accepting in multimedia format the sight of intense violence, but vigorously objecting to the sight of acts of lovemaking, nudity etc.

Something somewhere is very wrong indeed.

I seem to remember George Carlin pointing out that contradiction in his "Seven Words You Can't Say on TV" routine. It IS ludicrous, isn't it? That may be a large part of it, yes.

I just can't help feeling, however, that there is something wrong with the person himself/herself who does something like that, something wrong that goes beyond culture or environment. I've certainly read of horrid things like that in books, seen them on TV, at the movies, or--even worse, usually--on the news. But I cannot imagine committing those sorts of acts!

Still...I do believe we must do what we can about the culture and environment, because every little bit helps to prevent things like that.
