We all became nuts, I dunno when it was, some time after Fixx said "No Worries".
If you people have seen an Australian show called Home and Away then you'd be used to the Australian slang and Alf's excessive use of it. Really quite scary!!!!!!! By the way Bride of a bull do you know what "A flamin' galah" means?
A bunch of us wrote a letter to some school in New York expressing our sympathy and so on about 11/9 and used all this Australian slang the teacher wouldn't let us use it in fear we will A) scare them, or B) the poor buggers wouldn't understand a word of what we were trying to say. Still I thought with a few more thousand words and a story line it could have become the great Australian novel.

cheers

Sydney,

I was informed while on Manly Beach, NSW, that the galah is a bird - a beachcomber was on promenade with a pet galah on his shoulder - so incredibly stupid it would walk and stand in the middle of a road, with traffic, or some such anecdote.

So, a "flamin' galah", other than a jibe meaning "you dolt/dumb-dumb, etc." could be an idiot bird alight and burning bright.

Fletched Floydian,
Byron

Dunks,

I'd advise you steer clear of them, mate, though the end might be a rather quick one.

Plenty more worse; eyeball violence is fairly horrific...

Welcome, enjoy, shine on!

Actually it IS 11/9 because it goes date, month, year but then again you do everything the wrong way around in the good 'ol US of A (just joking no offence) And no the WEATHER (I am just going to assume that is what you are talking about) hasn't been too bad this year. It's hot in Sydney which hasn't helped the bush fires but Adelaide's temperatures haven't been too bad luckily!!!!! But February is coming and thats gonna be baaaaaaad!
And right you are BofAB. Flamin' galah is used to describe someone who's done something dumb. Often used by older Australian men to describe young teenage hooligans wreaking havoc!!!!!!!!

cheers

Yeah, I was making a joke about the uncontrollable fires down there. It was pretty low on my part. Sorry!

Wow! Sydney is a girl! I was pretty suprised when I found out that FloydWaters was a girl too! I didn't think chicks liked Floyd because they're too narrow-minded.

Besides, I thought Sydney was long for Syd(Barret).

Nice to see we have all established that Iam a member of the female species. that comment about girls not liking Pink Floyd is pretty rude. And Sydney is long for Syd. I love Syd Barrett so the Sydney thing came into it.

cheers

Yeah, what a crap, girls don't like Pink Floyd. I love Pink Floyd. What do you guys think?

What scares me the most is that there will be a day that there is no more free Music to download and that Earth is going under in this consuming society of pollution and massacres.

Really, we should be a little more human to other humans...to start with your living surroundings. Let them listen to Pink Floyd, Perhaps they will listen to their lyrics. the song 'Amused To Death' by Roger Waters is a perfect example. 'On Supply Down To The Very Last Breath'. Or 'The Dogs Of War' from AMLOR will do also in these days of violence all around the world...

Talk to you later...
