Gilmour playing for McCartney

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. A while back on tv, i think it was PBS, i seen a concert-looked like a small concert featuring Paul McCartney and Gilmour was the lead guitarist. I was wondering if anyone knows what it was called and if there was a VHS or DVD made of the show. I think it might have been some of McCartney's newer songs. Thanks.

You're probably referring to the "Paul McCartney and Friends" concert for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), in which Dave played. There's a DVD recording of it, which is pretty good, by the way.

Re: Gilmour playing for McCartney

It could also be the more famous Paul Mc Cartney Live At The Cavern. A DVD documents the show.

Nope, he plays for Ringo Starr now. And he's damn good at it, too...

True, Ringo still has a small amount of credibility.

Re: Gilmour playing for McCartney

Live at the Cavern is probably the one, it's a fairly accessible recording. I think Ian Paice from Deep Purple was the drummer. It was a fun show, would have been better if they had thrown in a few more Beatles songs, or maybe even Comfortably Numb
