Jimi Hendrix Experience- Electric Ladyland
The best of the Experience albums(IMO) because Jimi built his new studio and recorded and produced this album himself.Even though Are you experienced has more hits on it this album just has a feel to it that can't be explained without listening to it.The 15 min. jam on Voodoo Chile is awesome and to me is the highlite of this disc. But there are many gems on here that are not heard nearly as much as they should be(Burning of the Midnight Lamp/Rainy Day,Dream away/Long hot summer night/Come on) just to name a few. i realize this album came out a long time ago and since then many greatest hits CDs have come out that alot of people buy because they contain most of the hits. Thats A good place to start with listening to the brillance of Jimi but for the Meat & Potatoes Electric Ladyland is my pick.Get it and hear it. You won't forget it. Enjoy.
