Songs, Solos, Great stuff

Just the other day i was at Guitar Center. And I'm sitting there playing this guitar. An this old guy plugs in. i'm watching him and he didnt seem to know what he was doing but then he just goes insane!! it was so rad. I was jsut in AWW. Well the point to the stroy is I would like to know some really cool guitar solos like maybe Lynard Skynard or something but like some cool songs that just blow you away with the guitar solos. Anyone know any songs like that?

Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
Beyond the Realms of Death - Judas Priest

and if you could play Shine On You Crazy Diamond's solo licks that'd be pretty impressive...

yeah... Live Wire by the Meters, not really your average blowout guitar solo, but, it's mighty cool and has great feeling...

But, if you're more into long "heavy" solos, the ultimate song is:
(George Clinton and the Parlament) Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
This song is insane, it blows your mind and penetrates your soul. It makes me cry, it's so loaded with feelings it's unlike anything i've ever heard.
The guitar really weeps...

And, we must not forget Five to One by the Doors.
Robbie Krieger has one of the coolest "sounds" ever.

i think it's sad... not long ago i recieved some news, rather to my dissappointment.
George Harrison (my favorite Beetle beside Lennon) is not playing the supercool guitar on While My Guitar Gently Weeps... Eric Clapton does.
Don't misunderstand, it's not because i don't like clapton...

Anyway, has anyone heard the Funkadelic song i posted earlier on this thread? Check it out!

Try to just jam. That's what impresses them a lot. When you can go on and on, and then maybe play one of the aforementioned licks, then just jam some more. That's what i do at GC.
