Re: Division Bell

Did Mark make a social mistake?

Sorry, I couldn't resist, I love the phrase "Faux pas"

I always thought fixxy was a social mistake. Did you know when he goes out 'on the town' he dresses like the Ziggy Stardust Bowie?

Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Live on BBC1
Fri 15 Dec, 11:35 pm - 12:25 am 50mins

This 1994 film shot at Earl's Court on the Division Bell tour is the only live performance of the classic Pink Floyd album captured on film. Featuring three original members of Pink Floyd lead by David Gilmour with Rick Wright and Nick Mason and with some extraordinary visual aids and film sections, the concert is directed by the award-winning David Mallet and is a stunning journey to the dark side and beyond. Some strong language.

Speaking of Marooned, the video for the song shows islands/beaches along with a what appears to be a rather pretty young lass.

Any ideas on who said lass might be?

No idea; it's not an official video either but some fan-made dallying... so I don't really care!

The Division Bell is my favourite all time Pink Floyd album. The collection and quality of the tracks on that one album is simply amazing. I love it. Love Wizzifloyd xxx

you're putting that album ahead of DSOTM,Animals,The Wall and Wish You Were Here...not to mention the early gems like Piper and Saucerful of Secrets...

Ahh I see!

I made the n00bie mistake of assuming that "if it's on Wikipedia, it must be original/true".

Thanks mate.

Of course, I simply love all the above albums and more, but there is something about The Division Bell that moves me.

But when I hear tracks like Us & Them for example i cry buckets too.

And Wish You Were Here is a perfect and wonderful track, as is Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Comfortably Numb (which i believe is the best song ever written).

But they are all on different albums and my favourite album is THE DIVISION BELL for the sheer number of favourite tracks enclosed therein.

I hope i am making sense.....I usually don't! LOL!
