Thumbs up The Surrogate Band

Check out the new uploads of live Pink Floyd as done by Michigan's tribute band The Surrogate Band.

Plans are in the works to develop a performing relationship with a MI based Zeppelin tribute!

Cheers!

Tribute bands are a waste of time if you want to make an impact on music. But if your just in it for the money, that's a great way to make it.

Tribute bands are okay as long as they stay faithful to the original stuff and don't mix it around too much. But yeah, if you want to make your own mark in the world of music, singing another band's songs isn't really a good idea. If a band wants to pay tribute to another band, or if they want to spread the word of their favorite music, that's alright; but if you cannot do a descent job of reacreating a certain band's music, just give it up.

Paying tribute is great, for a time. Perhaps a temporary outing for a developing band. But not a profession. I've heard these guys though, they're pretty good.
