Help Me Please~!

For my music history class we can pick any song we want and talk about it musically. We have to make reference to its rythm, harmony, melody, timbre, dynamics and tempo. I am going to use TIME for my song. If anyone can give me any info about those aspects of this song i will owe you everything in the world. Also at the beginning of the song what is making all the different sounds? Is that really an alarm clock? Any and all info and help is appreciated thanks you in advance.

Re: Help Me Please~!

Alan Parsons, who helped produce DSOTM, had a tape loop of a room full of clocks that he recorded at a clock shop.

If you are doing that song for your class might I suggest to you that you purchase the DSOTM DVD. Pink Floyd put this out recently and it goes over every song in great detail...how they got certain sounds...what the songs mean...recording techniques used...etc. It's a great DVD about a great album.

Hope that helps.

Re: Help Me Please~!

Time means more than WYWH, it's something everybody can relate to instead of just missing Syd. That sounds like a great idea, but I don't know how i could help.

Commendable of him to jump on that grenade, though. Too bad it turned out to be a kumquat.

Oh, he knew it was a kumquat all the time. But he got a Purple Heart out of it. (bruised nipple)
