Re: The New CD Thread

John Zorn's "Moonchild"
Fantomas' "Suspended Animation"
Ephel Duath's "Pain Necessary to Know"

On DVD:
Pink Floyd's "Pulse" (yeah. Finally)
PT's "Arriving Somewhere..."

And over 20 albums on vinyl, most notably Jethro Tull, Rush, and Eric Clapton.

Well...I wouldn't say that, but yes, it's a very good album. I think I prefer it to HTTT, if that's any sort of indication.

Re: The New CD Thread

Rolling Stone magazine? Bah! They wouldn't know good music if it hit 'em between the eyes.

I unfortunatly have to agree with your above assessment...

I have been reading the magazine since it started almost 40 years ago...The last few years it has been taking the same route as MTV..They both are abandoning POP/ROCK to more crossover type music that targets the RAP/HIP HOP crowd...

Re: The New CD Thread

I just picked up the new release "The Road to Escondito" yesterday.

The long time pals and one of the best Songwriter/Musician synergies EVER finally decided to do a duet album...

J.J.Cale and Eric Clapton.

Damn, It's GREAT !!!

On a sadder note, but noteworthy none the less. This album showcases the final recordings of the late great Billy Preston.
