Re: The New CD Thread

Well I guess since everything in her little summation of Muse is so blatantly false, I didn't feel it was necessary to go through each brilliant point she made and say the exact opposite.

Black Holes and Revelations, while still displaying the same type of classical chord progressions and overall 'muse' sound as their previous record, has many elements that differentiate it from Absolution, making it a valid progression for the band, and what I would consider a step in the right direction.

If anything, Absolution is the least interesting of their albums.

And "like Coldplay"?? In what sense? Muse's new album experiments with electronica, while Coldplay never bothered to experiment with..anything..

But hey we're all entitled to, and allowed to offer, our own opinions right? Even if they're bullshit. God bless the internet.

Yes, we are, bullshit or not. But referring to someone's opinions, and by extension them, as 'fucking stupid' crosses the line into personal attack. It also does nothing to further discussion, which would theoretically be the point of posting.

We're done with this, I hope?

Coldplay made "A rush of blood to the head 2" with XY

Just like Muse did with Black Holes and Revelations.

Everyone should hear the J.J. Cale & Clapton ~ The Road to Escondito~
I just can't stop listening to it..
I gotta figure out "Ride the River" and "Anyway the Wind Blows".. They should be such great party jam tunes..

if you check YOUTUBE you will find a couple pretty good JJ Cale items...

(1) short CBS inverview(around 2 1/2 minutes) with both JJ and Eric..
(2) fairly recent rendition of After Midnight...

I agree with the first sentiment, but BH&R is NOT Absolution 2. Did you not read anything I said? OMG ignorant!!

Muse are now in the "Like Coldplay" basket.

Black Holes and Revelations is a brilliant album.

I thought you'd realize that, Lej.

Disappointed,

the Hellogoodbye EP...
it's cute and quirky, but not fantastic.

Oh and Gwen Stefani's new cd. Don't laugh, I like it.

show was a repeat from before Xmas that had Howard Stern and Forest Wittaker on before Nas that ran long,so Nas played show off air over credits for about 3 minutes...

FWIW:current issue of Rolling Stone magazine gives Hip Hop is Dead 4 ****(out of 5) and nobody gets 5 stars unless there last name is Dylan, etc.

Re: The New CD Thread

After several recommendations, John Frusciante's "Shadows Collide With People".

Far different and far better than Red Hot Chili Peppers, imo.

Re: The New CD Thread

You must get "The Will to Death"

His best album by far.
