Re: The New CD Thread

I'm still enjoying Flight of the Conchords' debut disc (it was an Xmas present from the g/f). Very funny and talented guys... also been sneaking a listen to the latest Deerhunter release (another present) -- but I haven't bought a CD for myself in months. Bought loads of songs on iTunes though.

You're so beautiful you could be a part-time model (but you'd probably have to keep your normal job).

Re: The New CD Thread

I've got the Smith's "The Queen Is Dead". I have listened to it about 8 times so far. It is a pretty short album. Most of the songs are less than 3 minutes.

I like it a lot so far!

Re: The New CD Thread

The new album by Dungen called "Tio Batar" is a must listen for any fan of true psychedelic rock. The musical styles and instruments vary throughout all the tracks, yet they never lose their tripped out electric energy. The guitars are reminiscent of Jimi Hendirx at points, and other times some of the fast drum / drawn out guitar note solos remind me a bit of the Mars Volta with less of a sci fi vibe and a bit more of raw bone rattling rock and roll. I would say about a third of the record is completely instrumental. Go buy it now. It is already one of my favorite albums.

Great great album. too bad their follow-up disc was mostly crap.

Re: The New CD Thread

Haven't heard it yet. Well, little bits of it maybe. I was going to try listening to the record before I'd seen any more than the first episode of the second series, just as an experiment, to see if it worked out of context of the storylines. That may still happen. I'll let you know.

Re: The New CD Thread

Most recent CD I got was the Beatles Sgt. Pepper 2009 remaster. It's ripped and on my iPod, along with the other 2 Beatles CDs I have, as well as many other songs on my iPod.

Re: The New CD Thread

Nope, been pretty busy lately! In fact I've been working on two shows opening tomorrow night at Factory Theatre here in Toronto, featuring songs such as "These Ain't Your Momma's Tits" and "Hush Little Bigmouth"!

Re: The New CD Thread

I got me 2 new CDs. The Beatles 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'Pink Floyd The Wall'. This is the first Pink Floyd album I have. Previous exposure was via Youtube and the single version of ABITW Part 2. Second Pink Floyd album I now also own from today is 'Dark Side Of The Moon', which I downloaded from iTunes though.
