Re: The New CD Thread

I just picked up De'Ja VooDoo from Gov't Mule..

Great bluesy Warren Haynes stuff.. typical of The Mule.. If you dig 'em, you'll love it.. (I do).

This is true. I've seen them live myself three times!

I recommend Close to the Edge for Yes.

I didn't get any CD's for Christmas but I got some money. I might buy some CD's if I can't come up with anything else to do with my Christmas "earnings."

Re: The New CD Thread

Lars, you REALLY need Fragile. Yes' most accessible, rocking CD.

But anyway, I bought:

Phil Collins - Hello! I Must Be Going (Yes, I'm a stickler for cheesy 80s pop)
Bob Dylan - Slow Train Coming (Sexy, underrated, funky)
Genesis - Duke (lovely 80s art-pop)
Death - Symbolic (Great, technical death metal)

Re: The New CD Thread

Get "Close To The Edge". It's hard to get into, but if you stay determined, eventually you'll break it in, and you'll love it.

Re: The New CD Thread

You should get The Yes Album or Tales From Topographic Oceans. The latter is harder to get into.

Fair enough. If you couldn't get into Fragile, I can't recommend Close To Edge.

Re: The New CD Thread

Skip over the lightweight Yes crap and go straight for Rick Wakemans, Journey to the Center of the Earth...

Once you've listen to that about a hundred times, then the rest of the Yes catalog will sound like Abba.

Re: The New CD Thread

Just bought "Invisible Touch" by Genesis.

More amazing art-pop.
